80s-style door transformed with paint

A very 1980’s style door from marketplace can’t possibly work on a 1940’s worker cottage, can it? It’s amazing what paint can do. Changing the silver hardware to a matt black using spray paint, the softening the door with a pastel yellow to complement the black. This door found a new lease on life, all in one afternoon.

I am loving the colour combination and it really suits the cottage style. Did you need to sand or prime the door before painting? Do you have the name of the gorgeous yellow colour you used?
