How to seal cuts and preserve outdoor bench?

Hi this is my first post.

I am building a outdoor bench seat and have purchased Sienna Micro Pro sleepers for the build. I just wanted to know do I need one product to treat the cut ends to stop termites etc, and another to paint onto finish bench to protect from moisture etc.

Could you give me your suggestions on what products to use.

As for sealing the final project something like the following an outdoor timber oil will repel moisture you will need to retreat it annually though with like any product that is external.
