Hi all,
Hoping for some guidance regarding installing sliding wardrobe doors.
My plan is to install double wardrobe sliding doors, to replace existing hinged doors
- I will be using the Cowdroy Robemaker sliding rail system.
- I need 2x timber doors that are 2040 x 820 x 35mm each in size (plain doors are fine)
- According to the Cowdroy instructions, I need to make two cut outs in the bottom of each door 34mm H x 72mm W x 19mm to install the wheel system.
- I assume this means that the bottom rail (solid timber part) for each door must be at least 35mm
- Most of the Hume doors appear to be honeycomb inside with a rail of only 30mm
My questions:
- Is my assumption correct (that the bottom rail/solid part of door must be 35mm at least)?
- Can anyone recommend a door that I should use for this purpose?
