I have a 240 Volt Ozito Power hedger. Could I connect a cordless /12V Ozito power driver to the 240 Volt pole hedger - to save me buying a whole new cordless pole hedger unit.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Ozito pole hedger.
I'm sorry but those two products are not compatible and can't be modified to work with each other. Modifying these units will not only void your warranty but could result in mechanical failure and cause serious injury.
I propose investing in a complete pole hedger where you know that it will operate properly and safely. Ozito has a standing 5-year warranty on its PXC cordless products and 3 years on its battery and charger. Excellent cover for your tool and battery.
