do diswashers need a secial type of supply tap ?.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your dishwasher.
There should be no need to get a special tap for your dishwasher. A standard mini washing machine tap will work with it, the only reason your dishwasher would need a special tap is because it is from overseas and does not conform to Australian standards.
