Lawnmower on highest setting cut it very short , why is that , also catcher is not as large as my previous Ryobi 36v 4Ah

The Ryobi 36V 46cm Brushless Lawn Mower has a listed cut height of 20-70mm. It's hard to gauge the height of the lawn from your photo, but it doesn't seem outlandishly low. Your lawn looks quite thick and spongy, so the wheels may have sunk in more than you were expecting. If you place a ruler through the lawn canopy to the earth below, how long is the newly cut grass?
I understand the frustration of having a smaller catcher, but there are no other compatible catchers that I am aware of.
