How to fix Specrite Acacia panel sanded too much?

made this table for my record player out of specrite acacia brown timber, I used glue + wood clippings from the saw to fill in the holes from the screws but accidentally sanded a bit too much and exposed the wood, does anyone know how I can restore this so it's the same as the rest of the surface. Do I need varnish or stain or both? Do I need to sand the entire top surface?

Since SpecRite Acacia panels are coated with an oil, you can restore the finish by applying something like Gilly's 100% Pure Tung Oil. Tung oil will help protect the timber and bring back a consistent look across the surface. If the exposed areas don’t blend well after oiling, it might be because the colour doesn’t match the original finish. In that case, you may need to lightly sand the entire top surface to even it out and then apply a stain that matches the original colour. 

Once stained, seal and protect the surface with a coat of tung oil. Start by testing the oil on a small, inconspicuous spot to ensure it matches. If needed, sand the top lightly with fine-grit sandpaper (220 grit works well) to remove the existing finish evenly before reapplying the stain and oil.
