How to fix efflorescence and damage to surface of concrete slab?

I've got damage to the edge of my concrete slab due to efflorescence degrading the integrity of the slab surface. Loose material has come away creating a pitted surface.

I read how to fix the efflorescence using Cromelin products, but what can I do for the surface?

I would buy a bag 20KG of self levelling concrete and a cheapie steel float to spread it out with. WD 40 the float after cleaning it to prevent rusting.

Simply mix it up in a bucket portion at a time and spread it over the blemishes with a quick smooth pre level with the float and let the self leveling cement do the rest Walkable in 3 hours.

Colour difference will be noticeable but it will be nice and smooth fixing your rough concrete.

As @Jewelleryrescue has said, the solution is to pour a concrete compound over the damaged sections.

I'd recommend Dulux Avista Patch Repair Compound as it has been specifically designed for this purpose.

While self-levelling compounds will have a similar result, they are not designed to be used as finished floors, which the Dulux Avista product is.

The process will be the same as what Jewelleryrescue has described, mix it up following the instructions on the product and use a steel float to smooth it. Make sure to cover your skirting boards with painter's tape to protect them from any spillage.
