How to paint newly installed Colorbond fascia?

Hello

Brand new member here! I’m looking to paint the Colorbond (in Ironstone) fascia of the shed (see image) and want to know what paint is best. I know I need to clean, sand and prime the surface however, I’m unsure of the paint required. Also, I’ve noticed some paints say ‘pre-primed’ but I don’t know if this type of product would suffice. Advice is appreciated

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about what paint to use for your shed.

I suggest having a quick look at this discussion - How to spray paint an old Colorbond shed? by @Smithrj. I understand you're not spray painting, but the steps to painting it are still the same. the most critical part of your painting process is the primer, and in the discussion, it was suggested to use the White Knight Rust Guard Grey Quick Dry True Bite Primer Paint. The White Knight steel painting system is easy to follow as they are numbered with easy descriptions on the top.

After you've primed the surface, I then suggest using a White Knight topcoat for full compatibility. You can have the topcoat tinted to the colour of your choice. In regards to the paint that are pre-primed those can be used as well but sometimes the correct primer must be used especially when it comes to steel surfaces.
