my old dishwasher broke down and leak water into my floating timber floor boards. My insurance claim was denied so I am having to DIY. The flooring was only affected in my open plan kitchen around a kitchen island, the sink, stove, etc. As a budget friendly optionI would like to install the Hanwood Self adhesive final tiles in this area to create a kitchen zone. With floating timber floors remaining in the rest of the open plan area I need to ensure that the final floor level height is the same as the timber flooring. the height of the timber flooring from the concrete foundation is 1.5 cm. I am aware that I will need to put a waterproof barrier on the concrete, but would very much welcome some guidance on what products to use between the concrete slab and the vinyl tiles, that we both raise the height and be appropriate for the tiles to stick to in a kitchen area. Thank you so much in advance! Photos are attached for general reference
