How to remove old glass pool fence?

Hi,

i have a redundant and very old glass

pool fence I’d like to remove and a friend suggested it might be one which you can remove the glass and poles - as you can see on the photo you can remove a cap on top of the pole and it appears like the glass panels are slid into place  (cannot see glue or silicone) see photo for details.   Does anyone know if this is the case or so I need a professional to remove this?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your pool fence.

Please note that working with tempered glass pool fencing is dangerous. An accidental hit with a tool or too much force applied to the glass can cause it to shatter and cause injury. Please make sure to wear personal protection such as thick gloves and goggles when handling the glass. In this particular situation, I suggest engaging the services of a professional or trades person to disassemble and make safe your old pool fence. 

It's highly probable that your posts are concreted into the ground and the only way to remove it is to either cut the post or break apart the concrete footing. Please keep in mind that if you do cut the post, it will need to be cut below the brick paver line so that it will not pose as a tripping or cutting hazard.
