How to repot my money plant?

Hello! I have two concerns. First, my money plant is growing well, but unfortunately, the pot cracked. I went ahead and bought a larger pot, but when I checked the soil I purchased from Bunnings, I found that it was full of soil mites. Is it still safe to use this soil?

Second, is it okay to use a bigger pot for this type of plant? Also, what kind of soil would be best for my money plant?

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Generally, soil mites are harmless and can benefit your plants as they act as they feed on organic matter and produce compost. The soil should be fine to use, but if you are concerned, any premium potting mix, such as this Scotts Osmocote 25L Premium Potting Mix would be fine.

In terms of pot, the one shown in your second image is fine. You wouldn't want to jump up much larger as excess soil can hold too much moisture, leading to root rot.
