How to replenish worn floorboards without sanding?

Hi - is there an easy way to replensih these floorbaords without having to properly sand back with a hired sander etc? 

i think they are cyprus pine floorboards. There are bits in the middle bit of walkways/living area really worn back and then areas closer to the kickboards where there is more oil/polish/varnish and the wood is darker. The middle worn bits of rooms are almost back to wood 

id really prefer not to sand as then i have to do the whole house and dont trust myself on the oil/varnish side of naked floorboards

To replenish worn floorboards without sanding, the most effective way would typically be to do some light spot repairs. However, for the best long-term result, sanding the entire floor and recoating is usually recommended. If you’re looking to avoid sanding the whole floor, you could try applying an oil-based polyurethane like Cabots CFP directly to the worn areas. Keep in mind, though, that this will likely give you a substandard result compared to sanding and recoating the entire surface, and the contrast between the worn and darker areas could still be noticeable.

For a temporary fix this might help improve the appearance, but it's not a substitute for a full sanding and recoating if you want a lasting, professional finish.
