Hi, I am wanting to extend my driveway and fill this gap in some how but in the cheapest way if possible.

If you are driving over or using it as an extended parking spot for your vehicle, I suggest having the extension done professionally. Unlike pathways, walkways and alfresco's, driveways will often have to be built to a standard as they are going to be carrying heavy loads. Incorrect assembly and construction can result in large cracks, broken surfaces and catastrophic failure. It's also possible to use very thick driveway pavers at least 100mm thick, just be aware that eventually the sand base will get water ingress, and the pavers will sink out of position.
