How to revamp front facade on a budget?

I am wanting to revamp the front facade of my house without spending thousands of dollars but have no idea where to start. I hate how ugly and boring it looks right now. I am a plant lover and would love to incorporate some here but it doesn’t get any sun through the day, thank you in advance from a lost DIYer

Sometimes a simple Marquee 7 Piece Steel Sling Back Outdoor Setting is enough to give the front of your home some interest. Bright coloured pillows to attract the eyes. Potted plants that can be repositioned so that they get sun at the right time and then transferred into the shade. Attaching Jack Matrix 1800 x 900 x 6mm Charcoal Ferns Screen Panel to your brick wall for a bit of variety. If you area really D.I.Y creative, you can build your own timber furniture.

A new canvas to play with 🙂 Ohhh yeah!

So a few questions come to mind -

- Some more photos further back to show the whole area and any et limitations you have in mind.

- The size of the area, is it just the pavers or can more of the concrete? area in front be used?

- Do you get sun at all on the area anytime throught the year?

Some ideas to float through your mind before you start sketching 🙂 Sketching is handy as it really sets out what you want. It dosnt have to be a brilliant sketch, just something that you can recognise in your mind.

Dekart 600X300X22mm Burleigh Sand Modular Decking Tile - 2 Pack or Dekart 300 X 300 X 22mm Hampton Grey Modular Decking Tile - 5 Pack

They come with edges and corners as well. You could have these over your tiled area. or even concrete area tho I wouldnt park a car on them 🙂

The screen that @EricL mentions is another idea I like, you could even frame a picture frame around it or stepped away from it with timber attached to the wall, offset that with it being painted white or another colour depending on your colour scheme.

If the concrete area is staying the same you could line the area with long rectangular plant pots to deliminate it.

Depending on your area and any sun, even in a corner. You could plant a fruit tree, grape vine in a large pot. frame the pot with timber and paint white for a mediterranean look.

Might be able to come with some more ideas when you get back to us 🙂

Just found the thread I was looking for. You could also change the colour of your windows. Have a look through this project Exterior update using mortar and paint by @DIY-WIFEY and she describes how she changed the window coluring.

Thank you very much for sharing those extra pictures. Another item I saw that you could install in your facade is the Dekart 300 x 300 x 22mm Modular Decking Tiles - Pack of 5. It will instantly change the look and feel of the floor, it's also very easy to put together.

Hi Eric!

I love the idea of laying down the modular decking tiles onto the raised brick area, but how would you cover the sides? Or would you just leave them as exposed brick?

I was thinking of leaving the brick exposed and laying the Dekart around it. But the good thing is that you can always experiment and try different layouts and see what looks best. On the condition that there is concrete under the brick, there is also the option of removing the brick layout and just using the Dekart for the entire area.
