How to remove old-style cavity door?

Hi, what is the best way to remove a cavity/ pocket door off it's rails?

The top-hung rollers are an old-style, two wheels offset diagonally. I've tried by using force to spin the wheels off the groove track - but that doesn't feel like the correct way to do this.

Please note that there is no gap to unhook the rollers off the end of the track. The track goes all the full length of the door frame.

It worked! I only needed to fully undo the front roller, then the door comes off and I could reach the back roller.

The back roller didn't have to be removed; the wheels come off the track quite easily.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @fortesbr. It's tremendous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about removing a cavity door.

Have a close look at the top of the door where the hanger is attached — on some older cavity door setups there’s a nut there that you can unscrew to release the hanger from the door.

If you don’t see that, check directly under the white guide at the top. Sometimes the hanger’s shank will have two flat faces just above the threaded section — this is a spot where you can fit a spanner and undo it.
