How to spray paint new Crimsafe security door for privacy?

I had a Crimsafe security door installed at my elderly parents house while I was away.  We didn't realise it has virtually zero privacy which is a worry when they can be immediately seen by the caller at the door.  Other than replacing the expensive door, would it be possible to spray the black mesh white to make it harder to see through?  I'm just thinking 'out loud' and wonder if anyone has suggestions or may have successfully sprayed a similar mesh.  It appears there's a big difference between security mesh and privacy mesh.  We appear to have chosen incorrectly, but now seeking a 'fix'.  Hoping Bunnings handy folk might be able to help.  Thanks everyone!

Spray painting the mesh white could certainly make it more difficult for people to see in, as it reduces the contrast between the dark mesh and the brighter background behind it. However, there are some trade-offs to keep in mind. Spray paint tends to build up on the wire, and because the mesh weave is quite fine, the paint can partially fill in the open voids. This can make the door look less sharp and potentially reduce airflow and visibility from the inside looking out. It’s also a bit unpredictable how long the paint will last on such a surface. Security mesh is typically powder-coated at the factory under controlled conditions for durability, whereas spray paint applied at home is more prone to chipping, fading, or wearing off with weather exposure and cleaning. You might find yourself needing to touch it up regularly to maintain an even finish.

If privacy is the main concern, it could be worth looking into removable alternatives such as the Pillar 1.2 x 2m Black Magnetic QuickFit Flyscreen Kit or the Permastik 2m x 2m Extra Large Magnetic Insect Screen Kit that can be attached behind the security door. These options are reversible and won’t risk damaging the expensive door.
