How to fix 80mm post to brick wall?

HI I am fixing a post to a brick wall. bricks are hollow, so using ramset chemset and multi-fit sieve. this doesnt go through the timber, only 25mm on a metal bracket. are there are methods for fixing the post using ramset on hollow brick work?

I suggest using the Ramset M16 x 190mm Chemset Anchor Stud Galvanised. I suggest embedding the bolt to 90mm only leaving you with 100mm out for the post. Once the post is installed it will leave you with 20mm of usable bolt thread to fix the post in place. My best advice is to make sure that the bolt is installed straight and level.

No fastener will be any more secure one it reaches a hollow section

Your best attack is to relocate the holes in the post inline where there the bricks are solid. Then use a spade bit to make a recess in the post holes to allow the fasteners to pull through the other side deeper. Use a spade bit thats wide enough to allow a socket to easy fit inside to tighten the fastener head.

I have been concerned about attaching to hoolow bricks, well any bricks and have them crack for years. Then I had one of the bunnings staff on the floor say "Why not use a masonary screw" I shook my head in disbelief and tut tutted lol But in the end I tried it and was converted so easily.

Have a look at the spec sheet (it is interesting in the material you use these on. Ramset 12 x 150mm Galvanised AnkaScrew Masonry Anchor

So much easier and a solid attachment to do.

Wire cut bricks... at the previous house I laid trailer loads of them and somewhere along the line lost my wedding ring and needless to say I was in the dog house for a couple of nights (was only married for two weeks 😃). Don't worry about the holes and simply pick a fastener from the recommendations. I haven't done post to brick for many years and back then all I had was a small crate of assorted Dynabolts and never had a fail. As @Nailbag mentioned when needed I did the spade bit thing and sometimes even made plugs.
