im doing a house pad , trying to do it myself, I’ve been told when adjusting the laser level In terms of raising and lower the pad it’s opposite direction on the rod is that correct?

Could you please share a bit more information about the type of laser level you’re using and the setup of your system? That detail will make a big difference to the advice our members can offer, as there are several types of laser levels and they all work slightly differently when it comes to adjusting height measurements.
It’s also worth noting that preparing a house pad or creating a slab for a home is not really a beginner-friendly project. The levels and compaction need to be very precise. Even a small inaccuracy can cause significant issues later in the build. If you can tell us a little more about your project, such as the size of the pad, the type of structure you’re preparing it for, and whether you’re planning to pour the concrete yourself or have it done professionally, that will help our community provide more tailored and helpful advice.
