A stunning view was going to waste.

Using native Australian Tallowwood we designed and built a small oasis.

A 5 person spa situated to allow for the view, screen for privacy, evenly spaced hardwood batterns for an open feel and shade.

Matching Tallowwood garden bed featuring Casscade Palms & Cordylines for their colour and foliage

Crushed Basalt for a lovely black covering on the ground.

Steps

Step 1

Step 1: Turf Cutter to remove grass.

Step 2

Install subframe.

Step 3

Tape for weather protection, install upright posts.

Step 4

Lay deck boards.

Step 5

More deck boards and pergola beams.

Step 6

Paint Pergola and install spa.

Step 7

Build garden bed with H4 sleepers

Step 8

Face up garden with Tallowwood, add plants, start batterns & privacy screen

This deck and spa setup looks absolutely stunning. The Tallowwood gives the whole space a warm, inviting glow, especially in that soft sunset light. The way you’ve positioned the spa to capture the view while keeping it private is spot on, and those evenly spaced battens add the perfect balance of shade and openness. The garden beds with Casscade Palms and Cordylines bring a lovely burst of greenery and colour that softens the structure beautifully.
