I have a new 36v Ryobi 14" chainsaw.
I am experiencing frequent cut outs & also a 4ah battery is only cutting 7 reels @ 200mm before overheating & cutting out.
I then have to wait nearly an hour for it to cool down enough to recharge it.
I am cutting in the Central Highlands of Tasmania, so ambient temperature is not an issue as daytime temperatures are under 10 degrees Celsius.
Totally accidentally my test example cuts were on stringy bark which was pithy (x 140mm) in the centre, so effectively I am only cutting about 60mm of hardwood.
My old saw would outperform this 10 fold. I never had an issue with it doing this. It would cut a lot more wood & have none of the above issues.
A mate of mine has a Milwaukee saw with a 2.5a/h battery & he can cut easily 4 times more then me on virtually 1/2 the battery capacity.
Thanks,
Ian
