How to attach shade cloth to wood/metal anchor points?

I need to attach shade cloth in the area above the ferns in this picture; from the fence and in-between the metal shed and wooden pergola.

I'm wondering (1) what the best type of anchor points for the fence, pergola and shed would be?

And (2) I'll probably need some kind of angled post going into the ground in order to provide a point of attachment at the front left of the photo - what could this be and is there any way of avoiding it?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about attaching shade cloth.

In the interest of health and safety, I can't recommend anchoring your shade cloth to the body of your shed. The shade cloth acts like a sail on a ship, and it generates tremendous pulling pressure when the wind pushes on it. This would pull the anchor out of the sheds wall resulting in damage or injury. I can only suggest using a fencing post as an anchor point for your shade cloth. Anchoring onto your onto your fence presents the same issue, attaching to the railing or paling will not be sufficient to hold the shade cloth in place. A possible option would be to anchor to the fence post itself. 

If you are covering your garden area where the fern is, you would technically need two posts for the outside area on the left and the right-hand side can be anchored to the pergolas frame. If you had a different configuration in mind, please let us know and we'll try to provide a more comprehensive recommendation.
