I'm planning on buying a countertop dishwasher. This post describes 2 ways to do it normally. Unfortunately they don't quite meet my needs:
- I rent, so I can't get a plumber out to drill a hole to connect to the outlet under the sink. Or at least, this is my last option.
- Connecting various adapters to my tap is ugly and extends the tap by a lot reducing the overall space in my sink.
So, here's the idea: Remove the tap from the sink, install a proxy that splits the outlet for my dishwasher, and install the tap back onto the proxy.

And now the million dollar question: Will this work, and how can I achieve this?
I asked a plumber and he unfortunately was not aware of any existing products that could do this.
