How to regrout external stone pavers?

Hi There, i am regrouting my front foyer stone pavers for external area. I have removed the existing grout and now i want to know what is the best grout to use for longevity. Doing my research i am getting a lot of conflicting reports. I hear that an epoxy grout is much better that the standard grout for external although i cannot actually pin point this. I would like to know from you what is the best option Grout to use for stone externally that will be hardy and stand the test of time. IE last a long time in good condition and not get moudy etc.

I propose using Dunlop 3.25kg Slate Grey Easy Clean Epoxy Grout Kit. It resists stains and chemicals, plus it lasts much longer than ordinary grout. Regular maintenance will still be necessary, but the epoxy grout will not as susceptible to moss, mould or mildew. Please note that the epoxy grout has a short handling time so it's important to work fast and clean as you go to prevent the grout from drying on the surface of the stone tile.

do you have a video how to apply. Also for an area of around 16sqm, (7m x 2.2m) what size grout package should i get?

Hi @Miczam,

If you are not familiar with grouting techniques they I would advise you to enlist the services of a professional for that sized area. Here's a helpful guide: How to grout tiles. However, as Eric mentioned, epoxy grout has a limited working time and can be tricky to use. Unlike standard grout, there's plenty of time to apply it and then clean up over the next hour. With epoxy grouts, you need to clean the area you've just done immediately after using them. If you wait even 30 minutes, the epoxy grout can cure on the tile's surface, and you'll never be able to get it off. There is a very real chance of ruining your tiles.

One of those 3.25kg containers should be enough, but it really depends on the depth of the gaps you're filling.
