Good morning. We have a new project in the pipeline to renovate an old fire place and modernize the house.
Although the rustic brick veneer walls are in good condition, we want to change the style of the house to a Hampden Style with more whites and greys (including the outside). We have been reading about Limewash and have decided to give it a try for its simplicity, costs, durability and the final appearance.
We would like to start with the fireplace. If we don't like how it looks, we can always use crazy pavers on top. See picture below:

We are planning to wash the brick and sand the timber around it. Then limewash the brick and whitewash the timber. Any recommendations for the metal frame, the paint and limestone products?
We like the final look of the walls in this picture where the wall is not completely white.
