Repair new bathroom wall

bathroom 3 months old. Put double sided tape on wall to hold up towel hook which was about 1m under the heater. So it often got a bit warm.

It fell off the wall last night taking the paint layers and the green top sealent layer off with it. 3cm square size.

What do i need to do first please?

You could prime it, fill with joint compound and then sand and repaint.

or you could get a block without the paper attached and get a pack of sandpaper with a range of grades to use it with it -

(Those sheets aren't high quality, so they won't be much good for anything but this type of repair, but they are cheap enough not to worry about using them up.)

Thank you for sharing your question about repairing your new bathroom wall.

It's great that you've received fantastic advice from @prettyliving and @TedBear. Both their recommendations are exactly what I would have suggested in repairing your wall. If you don't have your original colour code for the paint I suggest peeling off a small sample about the size of a 10 cent coin. Bring this to the store and ask the paint specialist to do a colour match for you. I recommend using a Taubmans 250ml Sample Pot White tinted in your wall colour for just the repair.
