This display stand was made using Spotted Gum decking board offcuts and is a great way to store and display meaningful pieces.
The project
I built this memorabilia stand to display my late father's boxing gloves. This was a sentimental project for me. I've kept these gloves for more than 30 years and finally they have their place.
The box is made of re-sawn and planed Spotted Gum decking board offcuts. I used acrylic glass and polished brass for the hardware. I finished with wipe-on polyurethane. All the joins are mitred including the door frame.
