Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @EVA1. Thank you so much for joining us and sharing your question about how to maintain Cypress posts on a new deck.

I suggest using Intergrain 4L Natural Exterior Nature's Timber Oil. Its penetrating formula replicates timber’s natural defenses against aging, saturating the cells to protect against drying out. Added ingredients give resistance to water, UV, and mould. Would it be possible to post a photo of your deck? This will give us a better idea of how it's laid out and will allow our members to give you a more comprehensive recommendation.

If you need more advice or information, please let us know.
