Hi Mitchell

Our plans were to dig the soil about 100mm in depth to remove the shard soil, pebbles, rocks and weeds. Lay down weed mats, then sand on top and then paving stones. On the side next to the fence we would like to have raised garden beds and yes we were thinking of using the pre-made garden beds from Bunnings to grow vegetables and herbs. The yellow beige area is where we will dig

Whats the best way to dig the side area of my garden which is a mixture of stones, dead weeds and mud so we can lay down some half decent paving and have a garden bed on the side to grow some vegetables? the size of the plot is 15 meters length and 3 meters wide

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @DashandSumana. It's great to have you join us and many thanks for your question.

What were your plans for digging out the area? Did you want to remove the soil to a certain depth? There is a Ryobi 25.4cc Easy Start Cultivator which would be great for the garden bed area. Although, you might like to use a mattock for breaking up the soil in rocky areas. I wouldn't imagine you need to dig out the area where pavers are going very deep. 70mm should be enough to lay road base or sand and then to pave on top. If the soil is tough where the garden bed is going, we have a great range of raised garden beds which you could use.

If you were to post an image of the area, perhaps our members might have some ideas of how you could transform it.

Mitchell
