Staining recycled Pine pallets in Jarrah created a beautiful finish for these portable planters.

The project

I used long recycled Pine pallets for the timber. I added two supports on each panel as well as the uprights in each corner as they are so long. I used the bearers from the pallets for these uprights so there is little to no wastage from the recycled timber.

I stained the planters in Jarrah with a Cabot’s stain from Bunnings. I also used 50mm decking screws in the build and 6 x 100mm castor wheels so the planters are easy to move.

I lined the planters with weed matting to make them fine to plant straight into and to protect the wood.
