The Bunnings Workshop community can help with your home improvement projects.
In November 2017, I had the privilege to go up to Bundaberg in a team consisting of 5 other people. We participated in a three-day 72hour Makeathon, organized by TOM Queensland (Tikkun Olam Makers). My team was from TADQ (Technology for Ageing and Disability Queensland). There were 6 other competing teams, they all had their own individual projects to contruct. My team’s project was to design and build a beach wheelchair from scratch in 72 hours for a young man in Far North Queensland. Fortunately, we able to just finish our project in time and was ready to be delivered to the young man. A great event with a great cause.
Congrats @Super66. Many thanks for sharing this fantastic project.
Do you know what some of the other teams made?
Jason

3/ Using a smart watch to detect seizures and transmit an alert to a carer
4/ Make an urinal for an autistic boy that played the wiggles when being used
5/ A device to mechanical help someone who had a stroke to put their foot in right possession stand that can also get wet
6/ The Beach Chair my team made
All the item were for someone with a Disability.......
Sounds like a great event @Super66. The teams involved must have been very clever and creative. Thanks again for sharing.
