DIY converted & reupholstered Ottoman fold-out bed

Bought a cheap red /black fold out ottoman bed & clearance linen fabric from Ikea. Removed all the fabric on the ottoman, cut the top in half & used the original fabric as a template to reupholster. Added a piano hinge to the top, sanded the legs & shifted the gas struts to accommodate the folded top.

One inbuilt headboard for a fraction of the cost of buying one new!

Excellent project and great results @Nellstar! You've done a fantastic job on this project, and I really love the ingenuity you've shown to make the lid mechanism work.

Good luck in the competition!
