Makeover of an old sideboard

Total makeover of an old family heirloom. Top was sanded back to raw wood and applied two coats of hemp oil followed by two coats of bees wax to give it a liver colour and durable finish rejuvenating the wood to its former glory.

Rest was sanded lightly to remove peeling old varnish and  spray painted two coats using BIN zinder to stop any bleed through followed by three coats of Dulux flooded Gum a lovely crisp and modern grey. Original handles and hinges  were retained cleaned a sprayed with flat black spray ( Dulux )

Paint was sealed using Timber One satin finish clear varnish.

Re: makeover of an old sideboard

Beautiful work there, @Oddchair22! Your choice of handle looks wonderful against the Dulux flooded gum.

That timber came up sensationally well. I adore the lustre the hemp oil and beeswax achieved on the timber top.

Congratulations on creating an excellent timeless piece of furniture.
