Festive celebrations are a wonderful opportunity to showcase your creativity.

Bunnings Workshop community members have shared incredible festive projects, including table centrepieces, D.I.Y. Christmas trees, and decorations for living areas and outdoors. Let us know if you need a hand giving these projects a go at your place.

1. Faux fireplace by @marilynwinn

Marilyn turned an old TV cabinet into a festive faux fireplace using plywood, timber moulding and vintage scrollwork.

2. Christmas cottage by @prettyliving

Jess transformed an old dollhouse into a wintery Christmas cottage. She gave the house texture using Polyfilla Exterior Masonry and had the clever idea of using expanding foam filler to create the look of a snow-covered roof.

3. Recycled hardwood Christmas tree by @robchin

Rob created a Christmas tree using three pieces of recycled hardwood from a demolished house. Lights, baubles and other festive decorations can be hung from steel cable in the centre of the tree.

4. Christmas decorations by @Wayne

Wayne created wonderful Christmas decorations by cutting festive images into MDF boards using a CNC router. With intricate carving details, they’re ready for colour and can make a fun painting activity for kids.

5. Mini Christmas trees by @Poppop

Workshop member Poppop made these small trees for table centrepieces using hardwood garden stakes for the trunks, plywood bases and Pine moulding as branches.

6. Tabletop Christmas tree by @robchin

Rob had the clever idea of using wooden packaging that came with a new dishwasher, nuts and threaded rod to create a rustic tabletop Christmas tree.

7. Decking timber Christmas tree by @Noyade

Workshop member Noyade cut a pentagon shape for the top of this Christmas tree and then connected five pieces of decking timber on hinges to make it easy to pack away after the festive season.

8. Plywood Christmas tree by @sburatto

Workshop member sburatto shared this affordable Christmas project that uses few materials to create a stylish timber tree.

9. Christmas sleigh by @Jamespeter100

Workshop member Jamespeter100 made a sleigh succulent planter by bending wire with pliers. He used 22cm dowel and a milk bottle as guides to make sure the shapes were consistent.

10. North Pole lamp post by @Shannon

Shannon created a North Pole lamp post using 90mm PVC pipe, red Rust-Oleum spray paint, white cloth gaffer tape and a light fitting.

11. Pallet timber Christmas tree by @tish999

With no space for a full-sized Christmas tree, Workshop member tish999 made one using recycled pallet timber.

12. Christmas tree using old tools by @Jamespeter100

Workshop member Jamespeter100 reclaimed old tools he was no longer using to make a creative Christmas tree using saws, a mitre box and little drawers that used to hold screws.
