Hi All,    Having an issue with our new shed that I built. During heavy rain water seems to splash onto underneath the roof sheets and drip onto purlin / inside wallsheet. Isn't a big amount but enough to form drips on the top purlin. During very heavy rain I had about 50c size puddle on the floor in 1 spot. Would something like trimdek seal be enough to stop this?   Thanks in advance.

Hi   Just put up a verandah and we have the first rain yesterday. We noticed that big water drops fall from a ledge above the roof and make an annoying loud noise when hitting the polycarbonate roof. It would not be easy to fix that dripping on the roof. Is there anything we can do on the roof to dampen the noise? Thanks Dani

Hey team. We’re finally here, the final stages of our laundry renovation.   I ended up getting some tilers to come in and lay down these arabesque wall tiles for us (porcelain) because they were tricky to do myself and the walls were not plumb, so this presented challenges in doing it.   I’m glad I did, however I need to grout now. They laid the tiles 24 hours ago and I’m wanting to lay down a white grout to match the glossy tiles.   My concern is, based on googling, how much trouble having some adhesive between the tiles will be? I’ve cleared out as much as possible as it was drying, without causing movement of the tiles but I’m concerned that if I grout over this dark adhesive with white grout, it may show through or not take properly. There’s no adhesive that is raised above the tiles but there is some that is stuck to the sides etc as you can see in the photos.   Am I just over thinking it and this will be fine to just grout or do I need to take a Stanley knife to every single bit of adhesive that’s between these tiles.   For reference the grout I’m going to use is dunlop ready to go ultra white grout.

Hi, I'd be grateful for some advice with the blade for my Ozito bandsaw, before I go insane, which I unboxed just yesterday. Though I can't really remember why I took the blade off in the first place, the thing is I just cannot get it to stay back on the two wheels. I've tried tensioning it a lot, tried not so much tension, but it keeps slipping back off either way. It begins centre-aligned but the moment I turn the wheels it comes off.  As it turns it seems to stay centered on one side of the top wheel while it rides to the front or back on the other side before popping back off - my photos might make it clearer what I mean.  Should I tension it as much as I possibly can to see if it stays put, which my instincts tell me not to? Also, should the Pulley Tracking Retaining Nut be loosened or tightened while tensioning the blade? Thank you in advance.

Hi folks   Looking for advice on the most appropriate latch and lock for our front (street) gate, that we'd lock at night, and is preferably keyless. Does such a solution exist? Thanks

Noticing ants getting in and out of a few gaps between the wall and the floor in my living room. I don’t have skirting boards btw. I’ve removed all food sources, cleaned floor and washed bins but it just gets worse. Ants even getting on my couches.   I bought ant-rid liquid to poison them. When they die off, should I seal the gaps between the wall and the floor? Caulking?

Hi all, How can I go about installing a side gate (either timber or aluminium) in this area? On one side, theres rendered wall, and on the other side, there's combination od concrete sleeper and timber fence.  I prefer the gate to swing outward because there are obstacles like pvc pipe and electrical box blocking it if it were to swing inward. Thank you!

Our garage is being used as a gym, the roller door has batts and MDF board on top, however I couldn't figure out the best, yet affordable hopefully DIY method to insulate the top part of it, if anyone has suggestions it would be much appreciated.  so far I only stuffed some old foam mattress on the sides, in the gaps, rolled a tarp and taped some shed insulation roll over it (the latter not shown in the picture).  Would there were better foam I could use for the gaps? and would it work to maybe tape some XPS boards or similar around it into a  a box shape? We didn't want to take the door down in case it will be used again in the future.  Thanks!

Hi there, could I ask your advice, we have a brick veneer 1989 building, with recently installed blow-in (silicone treated glasswool) wall insulation. The walls retains heat, day and night, summer or winter. For some reason our walls did not have any brick vents, could these possibly help to release the built up heat? We don't mind if the insulation does not perform as good in winter as we don't use heating and need it to be cooler all year round due to a health condition. We have covered all the basics, shading, draft-proofing, air conditioning and other ventilation.  Your advice is much appreciated.
