How to fix constant leak under bathroom sink?

Hey All,

last night i replaced the 2 o-rings on the spindle on my hot and cold handles, due to some water oozing around the base of the handles, and last night checked under the basin and seeing a steady leak with taps off, when on it leaks much quicker, just wanted to ask if the problem is as simple as removing the connector on the copper line and replacing maybe an o-ring inside? and redo the thread.

what do you all think? cheers

Re: How to fix constant leak under bathroom sink

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @mubsy. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a leaking pipe.

Inside that nut, there is a nylon or copper olive which is fed onto the pipe. When the nut is tightened, it compresses the olive and seals the joint. You might only need to tighten the nut slightly to stem the leak. So that you know, that fitting in under the bench and any required work needs to be completed by a plumber.

Please let me know if you have further questions.
