I was wondering how to support a laundry bench that didn't reach the far wall. I wanted to.leave a gap for tall things to be stored. There would only be a washing machine under it and to the right a base cabinet and sink( which would be against the wall. Would an end panel support? And if so how would I support the end panel? The floor is tiled.
Hi @hrpaul,
You might like to provide a sketch of your desired layout so our members can better understand the plan you're working towards.
It sounds like you're on the right track, and for an unsupported benchtop, an end panel would be the way to go. The end panel can be fixed to your floor with small angle brackets. These brackets will be the same ones used to attach the end panels to the bench. The tile can be drilled with a tile drill bit and a plastic plug inserted into it so a screw can be used to install the bracket.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
