Raised garden bed using Pine sleepers

The project

I built this raised garden bed using treated Pine sleepers and the Whites Retain-iT range for the posts. I used galvanised angle brackets to attach the side sleepers to the existing retaining wall.

I filled with garden soil and pea straw mulch and planted herbs.

I dug up the existing grass for this project. In hindsight, it wasn’t really warranted as I ended up planting only teeny-weeny herbs, so there is no way their roots will make it all the way down to 60cm and beyond.
