Should all kitchen hardware match in colour?

Ok, strange question!  I’ve just changed all of my kitchen handles to a more modern profile in chrome (thanks Bunnings!).

But the recessed handle on the pantry sliding door is still gold, like all the other doors in the house.

Should I change it to silver as well, or am I just being to matchy matchy?

If it's bothered you enough to notice, I'd suggest changing it @Tywoodpk. Typically, you'd stick with all the same coloured hardware within a room. I can't imagine anyone will judge you for having one gold handle, but it could become a bugbear for you.

Re: Should all kitchen hardware match in colour?,

Not a strange question at all, @Tywoodpk

The way I was explained things was to treat each room as their own contained project and match small accessories throughout the house based on key rooms - Entrance / Kitchen / Bathroom. As the pantry is part of the kitchen, I'd match it with the chrome kitchen handles you've already purchased.

Can never go wrong with matchy matchy, certainly helps my OCD

Thank you!   I’ll definitely be heading to Bunnings shortly to buy a new one to match.
