Re: Adding a feature wall to the spare bedroom using mdf skirting

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @afcase. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for sharing your project.

That's a lovely addition to the room, which I trust makes it feel more inviting. Would you be able to share some details on how you went about creating this look? I'm sure any of our members inspired by your project would really appreciate any information you could provide.

Did you use any sheeting to create this look, or did you simply frame out the wall sections with skirting? If it was just the skirting, it looks very convincing.

It was a bit of a learn as you go process. Using screws and plasterboard wall mates where there wasn’t studs. Would be a lot easier with some liquid nails and a nail gun! Just the 66x19mm mdf skirting!

Hi @afcase

This is such a great project and you've done an amazing job with using screws and skirting. Thank you for sharing that liquid nails and a nail gun would have made the job easier. So many of our members will find your project inspiring and will want to make a feature wall of their own.
