How to fix Ikonic privacy door handle issues?

I bought an Ikonic San Fran Privacy Door handle today and after multiple times of installing it and uninstalling it but it only turns upwards. it still works but its also an inconvenience does anyone know how to fix it?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @meowmeow1. It's great to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about installing a door handle.

It sounds like the internal latch mechanism needs to be flipped around as it is upside down. Once flipped the handles will depress down instead of lift upwards.
