Hello I am needing shade for some puppies we have just got I can attach it to the roof east enough but I’m struggling to work out how to attach it to our metal fence. Bare in mind I’m doing this myself so easiest way possible would be great thank you
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @rb2. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about attaching shadesail to a fence.
The easiest option would likely be to wrap the end around a 42 x 18mm baton a couple of times and then screw through the baton into the top rail of the fence with metal screws. Remember, though, that shadecloth really does act like a sail in high winds, and Colorbond fences are not designed to be used as anchor points for it. Installing stand-alone posts and a shade sail would likely be the more robust solution.
