How to cover fence gap in concrete courtyard?

Hi there, we have bought an apartment with a courtyard. It has a fence that is metal and glass. The fence has a small gap at the bottom, over the concrete. We have a staffy puppy who will find that gap very interesting so we are hoping to block it. We wanted advice on what would be best?

Re: Fence gap in concrete courtyard

Hi @sonyahaso,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and many thanks for your question.

To aid our helpful members in giving you assistance with this issue, would it be possible to upload some photos and measurements of the gap in order to better assess the issue? If you need guidance on how to upload photos, please don't hesitate to ask.

In the meantime, some suggestions I could give include Timber Decking or Composite Decking attached in a suitable manner to block the gap. A gutter guard product such as Saxon 180mm x 8.0m Black Plastic Gutter Guard could also be used, or even some Galvanised Brick Mesh.

Your chosen method would be dependent on how it can be attached and the level of security you are wishing to create.

Please note that you should always wear personal protective equipment including gloves, enclosed shoes, eye protection, long sleeved shirts and long pants while working around glass as it is easily shattered and there is very real risk of lacerations.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you need more advice or assistance.

Jacob
