Outdoor kitchen and BBQ area

Aaron designed, built and completed this outdoor kitchen/bbq area from scratch, utilising an existing pergola.
This project has given us another valuable entertaining and relaxing area with bonus privacy and shelter from incoming westerly rain/wind. 

Electrical outlets by licenced electrician. 

Materials

Stud and noggin framework - 90x45 structural pine (Bunnings) 

Colourbond in Ironstone and Classic Cream (to match existing house colours)

Tongue and Groove pine planks (Bunnings)

Cupboard fronts from tongue and groove planks also. 
Sarking 

Bench top - acacia bench top (https://www.bunnings.com.au/practa-2200-x-600-x-26mm-acacia-timber-benchtop_p0216266)

Paint - Ironstone and classic cream (Bunnings)

Black handles (Bunnings) 

Tools

Nail gun, hammer, air compressor, mitre saw, fix out gun, straight edge, spirit level, scroll saw, chalk line,angle grinder, tape measure (used a lot!), orbital sander, painting tools, hand tools

Step 1

Marked out and framed. Then measured and attached Colorbond to outside.

Sheeted the framing and painted the Tongue & Groove

Step 3

Framed the benches and cupboards. Installed the bench top, rangehood and backsplash tiles.

What a terrific way to introduce yourself to our community - your outdoor kitchen and barbecue area looks amazing!  I'm sure you will be spending loads of time entertaining friends and family in this space. Won't be surprised to see this project in our list of Top 10 most popular outdoor kitchen projects one day.
