How to remove old flooring sealer?

Hallway Floor 2.jpg

Hi Community members

I want to fix two overlapping

floor trims to cover this gap.  I have been told the flooring is rubber tiles.  I have tried to remove this old sealer but it's too hard and tough for my hands!   If I clean it all within an inch of it's life with some strong cleaner, will Liquid Nails do the job?  The trim I have is a colour cousin of this:

All comments and advice greatly appreciated!

Cheers 🤗

Re: Removal of old sealer

Hi @Tyro,

If the previous glue is well adhered, I'd leave it be. The new adhesive will bond it just as well, if not better than the rubber tiles. Liquid nails would likely be one of the better choices for this type of job.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
