I have a Jarrah Coffee table with table top surface wear. I would like to sand it back and refinish the surface. Preferably I would like to wax the surface rather than varnish. Is this the way to go? I’m not sure what product to use. Ideas and advice would be most welcome.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Witty. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about restoring a coffee table.
You might like to post a picture of the coffee table so our helpful members can better understand what you're working with. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images.
Using wax for a finish on a coffee table is certainly an option, especially if you are going for a more raw natural look. I'd recommend a product like Feast Watson 125g Natural Hard Wax. Here's a step-by-step guide: Applying clear hard wax oil to a benchtop.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
