how can I make a whiteboard ? new home and wanting to put up a whiteboard for notices etc for kids schooling etc.. too expensive to buy and trying to find a cheaper way?

I suggest having a look at this discussion - How to build a portable whiteboard? by @SkitzO. In the discussion, I suggested using a 3mm Composite Panel White / Black Aluminium. This is a back to back panel that has white on one side and black on the other. So if you wanted to use a white marker with a black background you could. This product has been tested by my colleague at the store and will work as a whiteboard.
