I need some advice on how to fix these holes? Wanting to fill the larger one with some sort of cement with a plaster over the top? I've read so many different recommendations. The sections that require filling are circled.Â

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kj2801. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing a plastered wall.
You could fill the larger holes with Timbermate 500g Concremate Expanding Cement. Don't make your mixture too wet, or you'll have trouble keeping it in place on a verticle surface. Once the cement-based filler has cured, you can go over the area with a plaster base coat. Â You'll then finish with a thin topping compound to smooth the area out.
The alternative to plastering the area is to fix a plaster sheet to the wall with adhesive. This would likely be a much simpler approach.
