I'm going to to rip off carpet off the stairs, what is the best sanding tool?
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Nanne. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about sanding tools.
How many stairs are you planning on sanding? If it's just a few, then a detail sander would be really handy at getting into all the tight corners. If you're planning on doing a dozen stairs, then you'd likely be best using the detail sander in combination with an orbital sander. These orbital sanders have more power and a larger sanding plate, allowing you to cover bigger surfaces faster.
Please let me know if you have any questions.Mitchell
Hi!It's a 3 storey townhouse with 2 sets of stairs so I guess that would be more than just few ... eeek!
I'd definitely recommend a larger and smaller sander @Nanne. Something like the Ozito 1/2 sheet orbital and the Ozito detail sander would work well together.
