New garden pond project with water plants

I have a garden pond that I have treasured for 30 years - unused

yeah. With all the rain it was full of great clean rainwater - I am what is called an opportunist 😊

I went to Bunnings at Campbelltown NSW and got some beautiful water plants and floaters and Besser bricks to support the plants in pots that were too big for the floaters. The staff at Bunnings Campbelltown are fantastic and I am so happy to have their great garden centre and knowledge so close to where I live:

it is too wet for the photos but when it gets dryer my grandkids and I have a great school holiday project putting the plants in the pond.

It's great to hear that your treasured garden pond will be coming back into service. I totally agree with the "opportunity" seeing that the pond is already getting filled with water. Getting the grandkids involved is a wonderful idea and an excellent opportunity for them to learn about plants. I'll be sure to pass your compliments to the team at Bunnings Campbelltown.
